Its so sad when you find a part you want for you car, but they stopped making it 6 years ago. The Pedders GTO Quick Ratio Steering Rack is all I wanted form them and shit. Stupid cars have such a good following, but Gm can’t figure out how to market Pontiacs and Holdens without the beancounters thinking they will out sell the Corvette. WHO FUCKING CARES?! All you fat, balding mid-life crisis guys will always buy the automatic convertible Corvette to try and get younger women. The rest of us car guys will buy the good performance models and such. Pontiac and Holden could be huge, but instead you’re shutting down Australian plants. FUCK YOU GM. I love you, but I want to hit you. Just hire me to run your new Pontiac division. I will make it popular!

Wouldn’t the GTO/Monaro have outsold the Camaro? The Holdens didn’t sell in the US that’s why they stopped making them. Not everyone wants or can afford a sports car only available with a V8.

Yes and they should outsell the Camaro. That piece of crap with some of the worst visibility in a regular car I have ever experienced. But the are always worried about the holy grail of the Corvette. I don’t only want the V8 sports car. I want Pontiac to be the performance brand. And you can have a proper preformance 4cyl turbo hatchback, a good car based of the ATS but sportier, and then you get your power houses. And why can’t we have a good car to rival the Miata? The only convertibles GM makes is the Camaro (ewww) and that Buick thing. Now I admit the Solstice wasn’t the best looking car, but the Sky matched the rest of Pontiac’s line up at the time. I just hate that GM is ruining a good opportunity. And I would gladly head that opportunity for them.

I don’t think “sporty” cars sell enough for a “new” Pontiac to be successful. It’s a good idea but there isn’t enough interest in it. You have to remember that most people buy crossovers. Not sports cars.

Well, I may have to disagree with you , but that’s ok. What I was saying is I think if marketed correctly with the right line up, GM would be able to make a good profit off of having a Pontiac line, even if it isn’t a big market share, I think they could have a good market share.

I put in an HSV steering wheel from eBay Aus at the same time as the fast rack (around 2012, I think). I have yet to make it back to the road course with this setup and that kinda makes me sad.
